Zion National Park Transportation
By Air
The majority of visitors coming from afar to visit Zion National Park fly into either Salt Lake International Airport or Las Vegas International Airport, then rent a car and drive to the park.
By Car
From Salt Lake City to Zion National Park is approximately 307 miles.
Take I-15 S toward Las Vegas, NV. Take UT-17 (exit 27) toward Toquerville/Hurricane. Take UT 9 East to Springdale.
From Las Vegas, NV to Zion National Park is approximately 163 Miles.
Take I-15 N toward Salt Lake City. Take UT-17 (exit 27) toward Toquerville/Hurricane. Take UT 9 East to Springdale.
Parking
Parking is very limited inside Zion National Park, and if you aren't at the Visitor Center by mid-morning your chances of getting a spot are unlikely. It's recommended to park in the adjacent town of Springdale on the west side of the park and use the free shuttle to get into the park.
Shuttle Service
National Park Service provides Shuttle/Bus transportation through Springdale and into Zion National Park. Just look for the signs labeled "Shuttle Parking" to find the stops and associated parking. The buses run throughout the day and include commentary about the park and its various points of interest.
