Weber State University
Weber State University is a four-year institution of higher education located in Ogden. The century-old university has a faculty of 442 persons. The relatively modern campus is 400-acres. 89 percent of the buildings have been constructed since 1960.
Schools at Weber include the College of Applied Science & Technology, the College of Arts & Humanities, the College of Education, the College of Health Professions, the College of Science, the College of Social & Behavioral Science and the John B. Goddard School of Business & Economics.
Various programs are offered at WSU, which allow students to choose to earn a bachelor's or associate degree, or a professional certificate. Master's degrees are also offered in some disciplines. An early college program permits high school students to enter college early to take WSU classes for credit.
WSU's continuing education division teaches classes at times and places to meet the complex needs of students balancing family and work responsibilities. Distance learning, independent study, evening courses,and off-site locations provide learning opportunities for many students throughout northern Utah

College of Applied Science & Technology students and faculty have worked on eight different satellite projects since 1985, when they produced NUSAT, the first satellite built by undergraduate students to be launched into space. The satellite orbited the earth for 20 months. NASA launched another WSU satellite in 1990. JAWSAT, WSU's latest satellite was successfully launched in January, 2000.
More than 90 percent of students enrolled in the College of Business & Economics are placed in jobs before graduation.
