Logan
Logan is that special treat hidden on the highest shelf of the pantry. It’s nice and quiet, removed from Utah’s main thoroughfares in between majestic mountains.
It’s a land of dairy farms, friendly folks, stunning fall foliage, higher education and internationally renowned performing arts. National forest adventures to work up an appetite just 10 minutes from tasty restaurants that’ll bed it back down. There’s a little magic in the way Logan feels both completely unique and exactly like home.

Logan, Utah, is located in beautiful Cache Valley, only 85 miles north of Salt Lake City in a pristine, green valley along US Hwy 89, the shortest and most scenic route to Yellowstone. Don't miss Logan National Scenic Byway, especially when fall colors are on display. At the highway summit, you can see a spectacular view of turquoise Bear Lake.
Bear Lake & Beaver Mountain Ski Resort
Bear Lake is a boating and fishing destination in the summer and a snowmobile destination in the winter. One of Cache Valley's main attractions is the American West Heritage Center, where you can relive 100 years of the American West. Logan is home to Utah State University. This area is known for its outdoor recreation opportunities: camping, fishing, mountain biking, boating and hiking. In the winter, ski at Beaver Mountain Ski resort or snowmobile in Logan Canyon.
Cache Valley
Cache Valley hosts several large events: the Top of Utah Marathon, Cache Valley Cruise-In Car Show, the Utah Festival Opera Company, and the original Baby Animal Days.
Logan LDS Temple
Nearby, the Logan LDS Temple, built from 1877 - 1884, stands today as a monument to Utah's early pioneers. It represents sacrifice, commitment, and a diligent work ethic. The neighboring tabernacle is equally spectacular and is home to an early 1900-era pipe organ.
American West Heritage Center
The American West Heritage Center sits at the base of the majestic Wellsville Mountains on U.S. Hwy 89/91 in Utah's magnificent Cache Valley. The Center is a non-profit Living History museum representing the history of Cache Valley from 1820-1920. Guests are invited to participate in hands-on activities and tours that educate and inspire patrons to learn, live and celebrate the American West. Activities include but are not limited to: panning for gold, cow milking, blacksmith demonstrations, tomahawk throwing, pioneer games, pony and train rides.
Seasonal events include: Baby Animal Days, Summertime Historic Adventures, Rocky Mountain Regional Homesteaders Conference and Fair, Fall harvest Festival/Corn Maze and Haunted Hollow, and sleigh rides on the farm.
