Soldier Hollow in Wasatch Mountain State Park offers a wide variety of year-round recreation opportunities, including lift-served snow tubing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, year-round biathlon activities, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
The park has the longest tubing lanes in Utah, some extending for 1,200 feet, with lift service to tow people up the hill. Night tubing is available under the lights and a sound system keeps the airwaves full of enjoyable tunes.
Soldier Hollow was the 2002 Winter Olympic venue for biathlon and cross-country skiing. Facilities built for the Olympics are now used by enthusiasts, and are often used for special events that attract professional athletes.
The park has 16 miles of cross country ski trails that wind through the trees and surrounding hillsides. One section, designed for Olympic events, is among the toughest in the world.
The facilities are managed by the Soldier Hollow Legacy Foundation, a nonprofit group.
