Brighton Ski Resort Overview
Selling fun to families since 1936, Brighton Ski Resort is one of the oldest skiing/boarding resorts in the country. But old doesn't mean outdated; Brighton is one of the most diverse and modern areas in all of Utah! Local Utahns have voted Brighton as the #1 resort for "Child/Family Friendly Terrain" and as the "Best Value," for over six years in a row! For the 2007/2008 season, Brighton replaced the old Millicent and Evergreen chairlifts with a new $4.2 million doppelmayr CTEC detachable quad. The lift is 3,920 feet long with a vertical rise of 1,110 feet. With the lift finished, Brighton is unique in that 100% of its terrain is accessible from high-speed lifts.
Brighton offers an acclaimed ski and snowboard school, night skiing, and a host of other activities. In addition, there are excellent options for lodging and dining.
With a wide range of terrain, Brighton is a winter haven of fun. Skiers and boarders virtually have unlimited access to some of the best backcountry in Utah. Lifts, via an open boundary policy, provide this unique opportunity to alpine enthusiasts throughout two mountains. Affordable lodging is available at the Brighton Lodge, and ski and snowboard rentals are located conveniently at the Brighton Center. A reasonably priced cafeteria style dining is available at The Alpine Rose. Molly Green's, a private club for members, offers delicious table service lunches, dinners, and lively après activity.
Brighton is located at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon, only 35 minutes southeast of downtown Salt Lake City (35 miles from Salt Lake International Airport).
