Confluence Overlook
The Confluence marks the spot where the Green River and the Colorado River come together, in the heart of Canyonlands National Park. The Confluence is a sacred spot to some Native Americans.

This hike goes from the Big Spring Canyon Overlook out to a vista where you get a spectacular view of the two rivers.
This is a great winter and spring hike. There is little shade and the trail get very hot during summer.
The trailhead is at the end of the paved road at Big Spring Canyon Overlook, in the Needles District of Canyonlands. The hike proceeds west, through mostly open country that is relatively flat.
The overlook is on the east side of the Colorado, just below the Confluence. The water is about 1000 feet below the canyon rim.
After resting and enjoying the view, you return the way you came in.
