Just 35 minutes west of Salt Lake City in the heart of Tooele County is the Deseret Peak Complex. Bonneville Salt Flats

The Bonneville Salt Flats is one of the most unique natural features in Utah. Stretching over 30,000 acres, the Bonneville Salt Flats is a fragile resource administered by the Bureau of Land Management. It is located along I-80 near the Utah-Nevada border. Wendover is the closest city.

Utah Motorsports Campus

This world-renowned racetrack is home to Utah's first Nascar race. The road course is a 4.5 mile long, 40-50 foot wide, 24-turn layout that provides a variety of cornering speeds, from 50 mph to well over 100 mph. The fastest cars and motorcycles will approach 200 miles per hour on the track's 50 foot wide, 3500 foot main straight. Kart racing is also available.

Three golf courses dot the Tooele County landscape with fees 30% lower than the Salt Lake Valley. Great Salt Lake

Visit one of the world's wonders, Utah's inland sea. Cruises, sailing, windsurfing, and biking are all part of the great salt lake. The Great Salt Lake and its islands provide outstanding scenery and recreational opportunities in northern Utah. Sunsets over the lake can be breathtaking. Amazing red, orange, lavender and magenta hues slowly dissolve in the evening sky. The lake's turquoise waters attract sailors, its white sand beaches are popular with swimmers and sunbathers, and craggy outcroppings on Antelope Island and some shoreline areas draw hikers and mountain bikers.

Kennecott Copper Mine

The view from our side is amazing. Travel to the top of the Oquirrh Mountains to see the most spectacular view of the the world's largest man-made excavation and first open-pit, is located 28 miles southwest of Salt Lake City. 2.5-miles across, and .75-miles deep, the mine is so big, it can be seen from space shuttles in outer space.
