Jordan River Parkway
Jordan River Parkway will ultimately be a continuous trail running along the Jordan River, from near Utah Lake on the south end to near the Great Salt Lake on the north end. It is designed to allow hiking/walking, jogging, biking, roller blading and other activities.
Hikes, rides and other activities can be as long as you desire. You can go out and back, design loops that incorporate portions of the trail and city streets, or have someone drop you at one access point and pick you up at another.
The trail gets considerable use and is relatively safe. However, transient camps, drug hangouts and other problems are occasionally reported in some areas. For safety, avoid using the trail alone and don't use it after dark.
Fully developed trail is in place in most area, with just a few gaps remaining to be constructed. The points noted below have trailheads with restrooms and parking areas.
