Moab Hiking Trails
DEATH MARCH or DESERT AWAKENING?
Pick your path. Ya, ya, the journey is important, but so is the destination. If you’re gonna hoof it more than a few miles (in the desert) you probably want to make sure the view at the end of the trail is pretty friggin’ awesome. The good news? There’s no bad destinations in Moab. Pick a trail. Any trail.
The best seasons for hiking this Jurassic landscape of the most beautiful desolation you’ll ever encounter? Spring and fall. During the summer months, seek out shady canyons (check the weather for flash flood warnings); during the winter, pray you'll get to witness the most gentle of snowfalls on red rock country.

Moab Utah hiking trails:
EASY
Fisher Towers (4.4 miles roundtrip)
This hike follows an easy trail to a rider overlooking the Fisher Towers, which are scenic rock formations eroded into interesting shapes.
Hunters Canyon (4 miles roundtrip)
This easy trail goes up Hunter Canyon, just south of the Colorado River west of Moab. The canyon is beautiful, similar to the more famous Negro Bill Canyon east of Moab.
MODERATE
Corona & Bowtie Arches (3 miles roundtrip)
The route to these arches makes one of the best short hikes in the Moab area. Both of these hikes are particularly good for children, or other inexperienced hikers, offering plenty of adventure to keep them interested.
Morning Glory Bridge (5 miles roundtrip)
This Moab-area hike ascends a beautiful, narrow canyon to a scenic natural bridge. A small stream flows between the sheer sandstone walls, creating a lush desert oasis with a wide assortment of plant and animal life. You have to cross the stream in a couple places and most people just wade through, so wear appropriate footwear. (Getting wet is part of the fun of this hike.)
