Best Friends Animal Sanctuary
This is no shelter. This is no roadside diversion. This is Best Friends, the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals. Nestled in between the sprawling red rocks of Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks, lengthen your leash and experience for yourself the nature and nurture of this lifesaving haven for hundreds of adoptable animals.
Sanctuary Tours
These two-hour tours begin at the Best Friends Welcome Center every day of the week. You’ll watch a brief video and then follow their van to visit the cats and dogs and see other Sanctuary sites. Please register in advance online or by phone.
Currently, all tours are outside and take place weather permitting. Closed-toe shoes and masks are required. We also recommend that you bring water, bug spray, and a hat or sunscreen. Durations and distances are approximate. Some tours are accessible by wheelchair.
Tours are available seven days a week.
